Prescott area night shoot and various shenanigans!
Forest restrictions will be lifted soon. Let's do a night shoot with the usual suspects, steaks and a campfire at our usual place! None of the usual scheduling BS. I'm thinking not this weekend but the next. |

Rich is out of town. Rich Junior is working down in Buckeye. And Rich three is visiting soon so that clan is out most likely. I can round up lister, whom you haven't met yet though along with jonny1904 and maybe harleyfx69 too though. I might be able to bring that girl that wants to meet you too. She likes to shoot and competes with handguns back in North Carolina.
Call me or send me an email. |

Three is a party. Four is a full blown extransaganza! |

Great timing! This week I have been thinking that I need to go hang out with the Prescott crew.
So, July 21 and 22? Will anyone be camping out on Friday night the 20th? |

[#10]
There. Now that’s better. Seeing one of my posts without the AZ emblem above it was just wrong.

will have to be next time for me.
Will be in California at the funeral/memorial for my great uncle(and namesake) who was recently identified after being MIA for 73 years. http://www.dpaa.mil/News-Stories/Recent-News-Stories/Article/1467205/soldier-killed-during-world-war-ii-accounted-for-rosenkrantz-d/ |

I was wondering about your disappearance from our shoots lately. We do have barriers to shoot from position now. Man it's fun! The more steel brought, the better! View Quote |

Sat afternoon and evening would likely work best for me.
But I'm flexible! |

I’ve only been to the shooting area once before. Can I meet one of you somewhere Friday afternoon to lead me in?

That sounds like a plan. I’ll shoot you a text, Adam.
Sierra, will be in touch with you if I don’t end up meeting them for lunch. |

harleyfx69 has just been informed. I think Lister already knows but I will make sure to ask when I see him tomorrow.

I'm NOT the chief of this event!
GSL is the 'go to' guy. But I'll help where I can. We need: Firewood Chainsaw? A couple more target stands and 'sticks' for paper targets. I have plenty of targets, and 3 target stands, and a steel 3/4 sized 'humanoid'. A shot timer would be great! Tables, never too many. Pop-ups. It's either going to rain HARD or be REALLY UV heavy. |

View Quote I am bringing some firewood. Some oak, mesquite, acacia, and desert willow. But, we will probably burn it up on Friday night I am bringing 4 steel targets. One Independence from P3DT, one octagon shaped target, and two knock down targets. None of which can be shot with rifle inside of 100 yards. I am also bringing a box of clay pigeons with 3 stands like these: Clay Holders Be prepared to laugh at my light setup on my rifle. Sorry, it was the best I could do in the short time frame. And, no duct was used in the mounting of the light. |

On my drive up I will stop by Sportsman's Warehouse in Tucson and buy 2 steel adjustable target stands.
Questions: 1. Do you need me to bring a cardboard backing for each stand? 2. I have 2 8' 2x1s. Shall I cut them in half to have 4 4' lengths or cut it to some other longer length and just have 2? |
|
[#37]
4ft sticks is good!
I'll bring plenty of stiff cardboard IPSC/IDPA targets. |
|
[#38]
I have 2 barricades I can bring if you guys want to run and gun with them?
Plus some steel to shoot. |

So for tomorrow, my protege has to work to cover for someone that suddenly quit, and jonny1904 cancelled for family reasons.
So whomever needs to be shown the way for tomorrow, let me know what time you want to meet up at the Safeway parking lot. I'm going to stay with you guys tomorrow night then leave after supper. I'll be back Saturday for round two. |

I won't be on site until late afternoon today. |

Great time as usual with the Prescott crew.
A special thanks for mmsSierra, who actually made the effort and time to be with us and do some IDPA things. Have a safe trip back, looking forward to seeing you again soon enough in October. We'll do another shoot next month. Handguns only. Stay tuned for more information later with it's own thread. |
