Gentleman from "the gun store LLC" told me only .223 MAC-90's are OK now. They actually have quite a few in stock. No 7.62 anymore I guess.

Anyone ever seen one like this? Looks like a DIY pre-ban to me.

Probably a dumb question, but what types of firearms are banned in your state?  I seen references to preban glocks and AR15 rifles, but is it any magazine fed firearm?  I have a few of the Pre94 AR's and some old Glocks that are not at all valuable in Indiana, are they useful in Connecticut?

Pre 94 ARs are good to go here.

The attraction to pre Clinton ban handguns is we can add a threaded barrel.

There is a list of guns that are banned by name. Also we are limited by features too. If you sell something here it is the buyer's issue not the seller. So before you sell it make sure the FFL will accept it. Easy enough to do.

Thanks!  If I was to sell my Essential Arms J-15, what would it be worth as a stripped lower or complete for that matter?  What is the typical going rate?

Two GB auctions from two sellers ended with no bids just after opening. Normally I would think someone swooped in and snagged them offline, but the actions started really high so that doesn't make sense. What do you think?

I think the prices were so so. Not crazy high but certainly no bargain. I think the pre-ban market in MA is all but over since the AG re-interpreted the law. In CT the pre-ban market has peaked. Lowers that used to go for $1000 not are bringing $800. Whole guns are not really worth more than the lower. Most people are buying them for the lower. I think the "other" market has put a serious hurting on the pre-ban market.

Yes! Stores are still asking $1000 and up for lowers but I have been watching the EE and GB. Stuff over $800 just isn’t selling. I have seen whole pre ban guns for $1200 stay in the EE for weeks. These used to sell in minutes.

The entire EE is slow.  The AK section is down to just two pages total.

I've watched preban prices drop, which is great for CT.

I won a local auction in TN and will be picking up a preban next week.  I just wanted the parts it came with.  Vietnam clone including a 37mm M203.

Aside from an occasional overpriced Colt, I'm not seeing a lot of oldies pop up anymore.

Agreed.

I have seen pre ban Colt guns at $1200-1300 sit for weeks unsold. For a while these would sell in minutes at $1400-1500.

There's an SP1 carbine for $1550 in the EE.  You aren't gonna get one lower than that.  I have a preban up for sale too and even I think someone should buy that Colt first.

SP1s are collector pieces so there is more of a market for those. Depending on condition, years, etc it will bring all the money. Otherwise run of the mill pre-ban guns are not selling like they were.

I posted it here really late in the auction. Sorry about that. I had designs on it for myself and changed my mind last minute when I saw the receiver extension. I have no idea if that cap can be undone. Or if it was even threaded under there.

Are preban Bushmasters still legal for CT residents to purchase?  I have one I an considering selling but don't know where they legal/valuable still?

Not soliciting sales.  Will go in the EE if I decide to sell.

Sorry if this should go in the EE, but I'm looking to price check a preban lower since you guys can use it and I can't. I have an Eagle Arms ea-15 lower serial # 21XX and I'm looking to see what it may be going for before I put it up on EE or gunbroker. I can't use it anymore where I am, so figured I'd let it go to someone where it still matters

Personally, I think the advertised rates are ridiculous. However, it's your property. If you think you can sell it at $1500, go for it. If you'd like to help someone in a ban state out and can afford to let it go for $700-800, that would be great.

The thirst for pre bans has been quenched somewhat by the "others" that are popular now.

Pre ban lowers are selling for $700-800 if not beat to shit or worn out. Yes you will see guys advertising them for $1000-1200 but they are not selling. I have seen some ads with prices like this that have been going on for months now. There was a time a couple years ago where a stripped lower would sell in minutes at $1000-1100.

I see whole guns advertised for $2000+ that have not sold in months. Mostly guys in so-called free states trying to rip off people stuck behind enemy lines.

Between the "AWB" lawsuits which if successful will render them useless, and the renewed push to ban them through HB6667 - why would someone buy a preban today?  I guess, if both the lawsuits and proposed bans are unsuccessful, preban is still a good choice, but what are the chances?
