I might be moving to the Charleston/Summerville area and am looking for practical rifle or 2-Gun matches in the area.

Looking on practiscore it seems the only practical matches are IDPA and Steel Challenge, mostly at the Palmetto Gun Club. Are there any other matches or ranges (outdoor preferred) I should be aware of in the area or are rifle matches essentially non-existent in the local area around Charleston/Summerville?

Thanks
PWS

There are monthly IDPA matches at C&S in North Charleston. It’s an indoor range though.

I’m not aware of any other matches in the area.

Also an immigrant to the upstate area.
Best I can find so far is the Belton Gun Club.
Also Clintonhouse Plantation. Pricey.

There are some two gun style DMR matches that happen in Chesterfield (2.5hrs from summerville) along with Sawmill and Clinton House

I shot a PRS style match at Jarrett rifles in Jackson SC once (along the Savannah river south of Augusta-ish but they haven’t done any more since then

And occasionally a Guardian SC match but the closest one this year is in Blakely GA (convenient for all the big dicks at Benning and Stewart)

I don’t know of any low country matches

Thanks for the replies... too bad (and somewhat surprising) to hear there is nothing closer.

It’d be a bit of a drive, but in the Savannah area 17 South practical shooters club does occasional 2-gun matches at 17 South Rod and Gun club.
There’ll be a few small club matches throughout the year and Marauders Multigun (2-gun) once a year.

And if you like torturing yourself and cleaning gear, they do 2-gun run and gun matches. Basically a 4ish mile run with obstacles and shooting.

This year’s Marauders match.

I'm guessing you already looked at Palmetto Gun Club's discipline page.

If not, I linked to it below. The club calendar is on their main page.

I assume by the title you're not looking for Highpower matches. . .but maybe? They have about one HP match a month. Last year I went to the South Carolina Highpower State Championship.   It's not on the calendar yet, but the guy who runs it is setting it up for Oct 28-29.

Full 600 yard range fired on Kongsberg electronic targets.
