By law, the Board has the option of appointing a new sheriff or they can hold a special election. Since Polk County is the libtard/progressive capitol of Iowa you can bet they will appoint a new politician in a cop suit.

I'm pretty sure he sold me his snowblower a couple years ago. Brand new Craftsman that hadn't even been used twice, and if I remember correctly he said they're packing up and heading to FL.
