Picking up a car in Jacksonville and driving back to Texas. Planned on hitting up Pensacola naval air museum, but see that it’s still closed. Anything else worth stopping for?

Pop down I75 when you cross it on I10 (near Lake City, hour or so W. of Jax) and hit the one or more of the springs in Gilchrist/Columbia/etc. counties.

I'd recommend the Itchetucknee BUT you gotta get there early in the morning - there is always a head count limit, may be even lower due to wuflu

I second this.  My husband took one of the grandsons through it.  They really enjoyed it.

Also, IIRC, it is easy to access from I-10.

WWII Museum in New Orleans. You can spend a day there easily.
