I just moved to Nebraska and I'm sayin. If your having issues with neighbors, etc in Oregon like iwas get tf over here because its so much better . you can do whatever the f you want, no one gives a shit. housing prices are great. Portland is ruining the whole state but you don't have to deal with that shit anymore. we can build ours out here.

I remember when Idaho folks thought the same thing. Prices are skyrocketing and they’ll have all the Californians they can stand soon.
Enjoy the move. I just choose the right place to live here and enjoy the hell out of it.

I'm retiring in a couple of months. We're in unincorporated Washington county bordering King City and Tigard. We paid off the house a bit over 4 years ago. Over the last few years we replaced the windows/roof/hvac and painted the exterior, but we're still thinking about leaving soon. The only hold up is we need to take my mom and find some place without extreme weather.

It looks like Tina kotek won the democrat primary with almost twice as many votes as the next candidate. Looks like she'll be our next governor. I'm talking seriously about getting TF out of Oregon. Like real soon.

Every day I see people in Oregon struggling, trying to pay rent or make the mortgage. Why am I still here? I have a lot of, shall we say, "baggage" to figure out what to do with. I'm looking at several other states and probably will move at some point. If I was the type of person who was just a renter or lived in an RV or could fit everything I own in a U-Haul I would have been gone 15 years ago. |

Anybody notice how we don't get all those posts in the Oregon HTF with titles like "I'm moving to Oregon" anymore? I remember going back 10, 15 years maybe even more recent we would have about one thread a day where people said something like "we're loading up a U-Haul and coming up there next week". Haven't seen one of those in a while.
