Thinking about applying for this.

What are the physical requirements? I checked around don't really see a straightforward answer.

Each agency (DOC or Sheriff's Office) will have it's own specific requirements. Check the agency recruiting websites for details. At a minimum you will have to pass the ORPAT test.

Look around the DPSST website and you will also find more info on corrections.

Unless it’s changed the doc (state agency) runs the corpat. Similar to the orpat (most sheriffs/ LE agency ) with two obstacles removed and no time limit just finish it.

Pay isn’t terrible and it is relatively safe. I’m about to hit 6 years with the state good luck.
