I heard the troopers being dispatched to this wreck on my scanner this morning.
Years ago, I came up on a wreck right before the tollbooths on the Alabama River Parkway. An economy car had hit a horse in the dark. It really messed up the car and broke the windshield out. The horse was DRT. I don't have much hope for the donkey.... |

Collisions with livestock is a thing. My FIL hit a black cow one rainy night.

Never forget, about 40 years ago at about 100 mph in a 260Z , thinking "there's something ahead in the road" sure enough a large black angus bull standing inn the road at night on Hwy 41 in central Ga...one of many very fortunate avoidances of my youth... Could have been very ugly

I was driving back one night and I thought that I saw a dog ahead of me. As I got closer I saw that it was the white under belly of an otherwise black cow.
