I just thought I would leave this reminder of some of the things the local school system is doing and/or encouraging in regards to gun control.  After all, we are paying to allow this kind of activity.

OPS board calls for stricter gun laws and pushes back against plans to arm teachers

Area students stage walkouts in reaction to Florida shooting; Papillion principal's approach: 'Let's go together'

This was only a couple of the articles (they are admittedly a week or two old), and I'm sure there are things like this are going on in more than just Omaha in NE.
