I’m facing eviction. Need a job in Okc that doesn’t require a lot of standing. I’ve just had a run of very bad luck. Lost two jobs in 6 months.

I said I had trouble standing. Unless I can deliver sitting down I’m outa luck.

Kinda depends on what knowledge and work experience and restrictions and stamina you have as to what employment is available, cause there's shitloads of jobs out there right now.

I've had a restriction on me since 02' from a oji in late 01' had couple of surgeries and months of o/p/t, it cost me the job id planned on working rest of my working life until retirement. I was living off my ltd coverage which paid 60% of my previous wage for near two years.

I had to change trades, I couldn't stand in one spot for long periods of time like factory workers do and I limp when I walk

So I went through a dental lab crown/dentures tech 4 semester course in less than one semester and graduate at 4.0gpa, but that didn't matter either cause out of the 56 labs I applied at the highest pay offered was 8.00/hr which was well less than half of my previous wage,

So I retrained again and became a cleet licensed armed security monkey cause casinos are needing armed security and even though I started at 8.86/hr and still got ltd check at reduced amount because it was well less than 51% of my previous wage.

Done that for a bit with pay and benefits increase s, then worked gaming commission for 8 yrs at a much better wage and benefits, course gc wage was higher than my previous wage so my ltd coverage check ceased,

But then because of my knowledge and experience I got a much better paying job, but got into a bad assed wreck 3 weeks into that job, busted me up even worse from head to toes, I put in the time every second of the day for days on end to get out of a wheelchair and learn to walk again.

was down and out of work for over 15 months recovering from the injuries until the doc said you're as good as it's going to get and you're going to require multiple more surgeries in the future because what we were able to repair is not going to last and you are going to hurt for the rest of your life (pain evals I have yearly are rate 7+), so he released me to return to work. (Had few more wrecks since then, not of my fault, and surgery to repair damage).

So went back to being a security monkey cause casinos are always hiring, and they didn't mind me walking the floor like a crippled duck,

I done this for 8 years because even with all my working knowledge and experience I had to rebuild my credibility because very good employers are hard pressed to hire someone in that has multiple long periods of time on resume down and not working between jobs,

Got bored so I put my abbreviated resume out on indeed site just to phis a bit and see what bites, hell within less than 24hrs my email started filling up,

I checked a bit to see wage and benefits on several,  then I replied to the job I've got now, the wage is ok, the benefits meh, but round trip distance from house was 37 miles which beat the 75 plus I was driving. With fuel prices what they are it was costing me 500+/month driving to casino security monkey gig.

So end of vid interview I took the job offer and start date, was only able to give casino two days notice.

It's the easiest armed job I've ever done, I spend 90% of my day driving between scheduled daily sites on route, get out spend between 5 minutes to an hour working on machine, then get back into service vehicle and drive to next site on schedule. Course I drive 5k plus miles/month and work 36 to 70hrs/ week.
