I was on I-75 going south yesterday and the north bound side has far more traffic. Nothing like the post Easter exodus but heavy.

Seen a weather report? Ok, enough of the snark. I am neck deep in the retail business of SWFL. I monitor my sales volume DAILY. It's my job. Business tends to drop off 2-3 weeks before they leave...no more buying groceries when you are about to be leaving. I am not basing my opinion on a random glance at a parking lot. BTW, Saturday is typically the 3rd busiest grocery shopping day. Behind Sunday and believe it or not, Monday's are the busiest. My daily dollar sales says we are currently ramped up to about 8-10% ABOVE LAST YEAR. |

It ain't really the snowbirds themselves, it's the traffic.
Well, accept when Covid started being a thing their were more license plates showing up early. NY, NJ, Conn. That's just kind of like a whore spreading STD's. in my book cause that's where it started.

The best time of the year to go camping or RVing and the darn snowbirds have them booked. Just too hot in the summer to enjoy the out doors. But I lucked out and found a site at Ft Desoto for a week. Bought a newer RV weds with a slide out unit. Got a screaming deal on a Jayco 28 footer. Need a break. Reading now how to connect my computer to the tv so I can watch my frontier fios acct on tv in unit. I have unlimited data plan on ph. So I use it as a wifi hotspot so I can use my computer. I need to get a 5g phone.I Snowbirds freak when they see you open carrying while fishing lol. |
