It looks like I may be coming to the Dallas/Ft Worth area for four or five months to work. I know that Texas and Florida have a reciprocity agreement but, how does that apply to open carry? I don't know that I would if I could but, I would like to know regardless.

Additional Question: What should I absolutely see while there and what are where should I absolutely eat?

Thank you

Texas has Passed Constitutional Carry as of Sept. 1st.

Open or Concealed - In Texas it's all Good!

You will have to watch out for 30.06 & 30.07 signs.

They state that a place has banned Concealed Carry (30.06) or Open Carry (30.07).

30.06 sign - prohibits Concealed Carry

30.07 Prohibits Open Carry

might also watch out for Bars.  anyplace that makes 51% of their income from Alcohol sales is also a no carry place.

Your Florida CHL has reciprocity with Texas, so just avoid schools & bars & courtrooms & sporting events (jerry world with the Dallas CowGirls) and you're pretty much O.K. .

Enjoy the BBQ and Good Tex Mex.

Have Fun in Texas!

If you have a Florida Permit you are good to go, but if carrying in Texas (open or concealed) under Constitutional Carry then you need to watch for 30.05 signs.

First two do not apply to volunteer emergency services personnel.  The last one does not apply to volunteer emergency services personnel who is engaged in providing emergency services (which will probably not apply).
