Our daughter was home over the weekend so we went out to Cross Roads indoor range and did some shooting (sorry slims we'll do Range Masters next time) as we were short on time and it was closer to home and warmer than going to the farm. She surprised me last time she was home by having taken a concealed carry course without me saying anything to her about it...almost teared up with pride right there in the gun shop.
So this past weekend we went back out again to handle the two handguns she decided on the last time she was home: a Glock 43X and a Ruger EC9S...she chose the Ruger. We went out to Cross Roads and she loved the Ruger and was very proficient for the first time handling it...easily hitting the silhouette target at 10 yards after nailing it at 5 yards for the first couple mags. Then she went to her .22lr AR pistol and was having a blast making waste of the head on the silhouette target. The finale was her shooting the submachineguns and watching heads turn towards her target and seeing the silhouette target get obliterated during each mag. I think she liked shooting the targets more indoors compared to the pop cans outside at the farm/property.
