Hi folks. Glad to be given the opportunity.
Hopefully we can get some traffic back in here like the good old days. I've got some ideas on how to do it and will be posting in the near future once the details are worked out. If nothing else it will get people talking. Arfcom gives us a good place to make connections to like minded individuals, which is important in our current climate. Now is not the time to become a bunch of hermits. |

Have fun with probably the easiest forum on the site to moderate :-) There were some other factors, but I'd told D_J a while back that my job search was geared towards allowing my wife and I to move back to her hometown in Tennessee, and that will likely be a focus over the next few months as I settle into my new job and rebuild finances. |

IIRC, some of the old crew got banned by previous admins/staff and won't be able to return, something that was never in my capability to resolve. I've known of some that claimed to have burner accounts they were still using, I just never bothered looking. I'd be surprised if I made a total of six moderation decisions the entire time I was moderator, mostly I just updated the HTF location list :-) |

Sometimes you got to take one for the team. If I were a member or even a mod still instead of staff, it probably would have been fine. But all it takes is a few people whining about staff being above the rules and it becomes a distraction for the site.
