This seems like a stupid question since I've lived in the Omaha area for a while- but here goes: Where is there to jet-ski around Omaha? I have enjoyed personal water craft a number of times on vacations in other places and was thinking it would be great to have one....but have no idea where I would use it. I know there are a few little "no wake" lakes around town, but anywhere open to the public within a short drive?

They are State Rec areas so you would need a park permit. Both get a little crazy on the weekends from what I've heard... as does Lake Manawa in Iowa. Too bad they didn't go through with Lake Ashland |

Bumping this up......
Anyone done any hunting? I'm doing some hunting and trapping in early Jan for a week. No one can go kill coyotes or coons with me. I guess NVGs are too lame. |
