We'll be visiting in August and there for 5 days. I'd like to take the kids deep sea fishing. Not looking for a specific type of fish just something kinda big they can pull in and have some fun.
And if the area has some guided iguana hunts that looks like a ton of fun.

Go to any marina, they'll have a ton of guys you can charter. But don't say deep sea fishing unless you like getting laughed, the Gulf averages 30-60 feet until you're farther out than you probably want to go.

You can catch quality fish within 15 miles of shore and in as little as 20' of water (if one knows where to look).

If you are willing to fish inshore there are a lot of charters that will get you down to the 10,000 islands for reds, Snook, speckled trout, mangrove snapper, shark, etc. The water on the gulf side is is really shallow for a long ways out.

What else can you do hunting wise with your kids where there is no limit for a few hundred dollars including ammo and the supplied guns? |
