NRA has announced the organization will declare bankruptcy in an effort to gain protection from creditors and try to mitigate it's legal troubles in the State of NY. The associations plan is to re-charter in the State of Texas and continue to push pro 2A initiatives as opportunities arise. I don't care where the NRA moves it's base of operations to, if Wayne LaPierre continues at the helm, they won't see a dime of my money. I'm done paying for any more of Wayne's $2000.00 tie tacks.

IDK, I have mixed feelings on the NRA.  They seriously need to clean house and get back to focusing on actually protecting our rights.  But I also think there isn't another organization capable of stepping into the void that could have the clout that the NRA once had (and should get back to if they have any hope of surviving).

Either way I won't support them again until all their leadership is gone and the voting laws are changed so it can never happen again.

As long as the dem/socialists are still bitching about and colluding against the NRA, I'll stick with them.  The commies are concerned about the membership numbers, which they see as votes against their perverted ways.  While the NRA has it's share of warts, they're still fighting the fight.  LaPierre needs to be taken down a few notches and there needs to be more control by the membership in my opinion.  I've been a life member for 50 years, so they don't see much if any of my money now, but for the annual members to jump ship also doesn't help our side any and is playing right into the commies hands.  Any programs they sponsor that don't make money should be gone.  I chuckled at the wine club deal, but if it's making them some money, what the hell.  They should of left that shit hole New York a long time ago.

The state of NY is trying to get rid of the NRA as part of the liberal agenda. So the NRA is doing what's necessary and moving the frick out just like millions of other businesses and people. The bankruptcy protects them from all the frivolous lawsuits designed to bring the NRA down.

I've never really liked Trump with his big mouth and stupid social media BS. Doesn't mean I'll pull my support and let the liberal side win.. Sometimes you just have to accept a little bad for the greater good.

I joined in 1969, when got a 1 year membership as a gift from my future wife's bro-in-law, a Life Member. I've mostly signed up in 5 year intervals since (to save money...I'm cheap), until retiring a few years ago. Now it's one year at a time. When you get to be my age, you don't buy shit 5 years at a time any more. I don't even buy green bananas.

NRA will be under pressure to sort out the Russian money trail and 2015 trip to Moscow.
I don't know how the move to Texas figures legally, but i suspect the bankruptcy could be getting ready to get cleaned out.
