No more scopes on Muzzle Loaders; looks like I better dust off the old Kentucky long gun and find my deer skin outfit and oh wait where did I put my coon skin cap.
I kind of like the idea of going back to more traditional muzzle stuffers but I worry about the marksmanship of my fellow hunters, hell I worry about my marksmanship with a traditional muzzle loader, I'm for sure going to limit my shots to under a 100 yards.

I'm not happy about the muzzy rule change, but mostly because I don't want to take the time to remove my scope and set it up with sights.  Even with a scope, all my shots on deer and elk have been under 100 yards.  I am not so sure the rule change will have the intended effect of reducing the number of elk killed.  Reducing the number of elk reported killed, sure.  But I think there will be an increase in shot but not recovered elk.  Time will tell.

Will the new scope rule reduce the amount of applications putting in for muzzle loader hunts?

Might be some opportunity on drawing hunts if it does, what do ya all think.

Tough call.  I will likely apply for some muzzy hunts in the hope odds improve.
