PETERBOROUGH, N.H.
A sportsman's club that has existed in Peterborough since the late 1940s is under investigation for alleged violations of town ordinances and impinging on wetlands.
Peterborough's police chief served the warrant that allowed wetlands surveyors and others to get access to the property.
The town is alleging that the club expanded its firing range without getting the necessary site plan review and approval. The club is also involved in a land dispute with a neighbor over 6 acres in the middle of the firing range.
