Is it a trap? .
 LUMBERTON — The state Highway Patrol is trying to find the owner of a revolver so that it can be reclaimed. According to a information provided by the patrol, the weapon is a Taurus revoler, serial number 1573096. Anyone who can provide proof that the revolver is his or hers, call the patrol’s Lumberton office at 910-618-5555 to begin the process to have it returned. If the weapon is not reclaimed, the state will either sell it or dispose of it. The patrol did not provide information on how it came into possession of the weapon. |

It is most likely to be "found property" like in a wrecked car or found at the scene of a crash.
