Vote for Brown and Rice


We need both of these guys seated on the bench.

This will help to turn the famous liberal mt state Supreme Court a bit more to the conservative side.

Haven't seen the election ballot for this yet. What's the basis and can you give more info of their positions on pertinent issues?

Gary Marbut of MT Shooting Sports Assoc. did a great write up a few weeks back comparing the two races for MSC elections.



"This election cycle, there are two seats on the MSC up for election.
The top two vote-getters(for each race) in the June Primary will advance to the
General Election ballot in November.  For MSC Justice #1, there are
only two candidates, so both will advance to the General Election."

Race 1:

"Jim Rice is the incumbent.  Jim has a voting record from when he was
in the Legislature, and it's a good record on our issues.  Jim was
also the author of the MSC decision that slapped down the Missoula
City Council and its attempt at gun control.  Finally, I know Jim
personally and like him politically for the issues within MSSA's
mission area."


Race 2:
While the second race has 3 candidates. Again, only two move onto the General election in November.

The incubant, Gustafson, is very liberal and bad for RKBA.

The second candidate is Judge McMahon of Helena. He just recently ruled in favor of The Board of Regents to block the campus carry portion of 2021 HB102. Again not a friend of RKBA.

"The third candidate is Attorney Jim Brown of Helena.  Jim understands
the RKBA.  When MSSA was litigating our Montana Firearms Freedom Act
in the federal court system, Jim wrote an amicus brief for us.  He has
collaborated on other RKBA issues.  He is currently elected to the
Public Service Commission.  Brown would make a great replacement for
Gustafson on the MSC."

MSSA just sent out an email. Gary pushed the urgency and importance of supporting James Brown for the MT SC. Hopefully we can push Brown over the finish line and start to straighten out the MSC.


Rice was originally pushed hard by the MSSA but after he recently voted against the campus carry portion of 102, it appears he no longer has support from MSSA.

He still got my vote.

IMO "Brown Rice" is still the correct answer moving forward.
