Defender Outdoors. Their clay shooting center is in Aledo, and their indoor range is about 20 miles away in Fort Worth.

I do think I'll finally take up shotgun games down here, what is there for longer distance rifle facilities?

The closest might be Fossil Pointe up north of Decatur. About an hour north of Aledo.

Parker County Sportsman Club used to be great. North of Weatherford, out in Poolville. We moved and I haven’t been in years. It is one of those places where they give you a key and you can go sun up to sundown, with a few night shoots. Was very reasonable, and many times if you go during the week you may very well be the only person shooting.

Way out West (I-20 and 281) may be shorter drive than Fossil Pointe for distance shooting. Although WoW is just a few miles from the house, I've never shot there. |
