Since Saturday, we've been getting good rain every day. Yesterday was an incredible heavy soaking for about 45 minutes, followed by a nice mild rain for a couple hours. Then, this morning it was a good rain, with a couple hour break before another good soaking. It looks like we are about to get hit again in the next few minutes. I would think fire restrictions should be downgraded or going away soon. Thank you Monsoon!!!!

Anyone know if there has been enough rain to lift the fire restrictions yet?

Blows my mind how much worse storms are in E. Mesa compared to N. Gilbert despite being so close to each other.

If i were to guess, its most likely the terrain causing it.  The hills just north and east of Mesa cause them to strengthen and go big.

Confirmation?  I heard Coconino and Kaibab.   The ass-hats at Tonto really hate people playing in "their" forrest.

Tonto is still closed to shooting I guess. I'll be up on the rim by 0900 tomorrow, and I'll post here if the signs are out.

Signs are still posted listing fire restrictions in the Coronado National Forrest in Pima County.  So either they forgot to remove the signs, or some areas are still under restriction.  Is there a BLM or F&G or other Fed site that lists all current restrictions by county, or forrest, or etc?

ETA

NM, still closed by me.

Vail, and Corona in particular, got slayed yesterday with hail.  Dented cars, torn window screens, all trees and bushes looked like they were hit with a weed wacker.  Obliterated my garden.  Every rock in my front and back yard was invisible, covered in a layer or two of hail stones.  Frankly, it looked like it had snowed.  Rained all last week to boot.

Yet the fire restrictions just south of us remain.

@tucansam

We were battered, half dollar piece size hail.  Car has that new golf ball finish, plastic and glass outside was destroyed.  Holes in stucco.

Picked this out of the corner about 4 hours later.

CNF lifted fire restrictions, per their FB page.

Signs are still up, tho.

Man, I'm really sorry to hear that.  Corona?  The worse of it seemed to be around Melpomene.
