Thursday buffet has some of the best fried pork chops I've ever had. Another fantastic fried pork chop is from Korner Shak in Sumter and you can get them made to order any day of the week. |

For Korean try Seoul Restaurant (you can park in the back and there's an entrance) and also Arirang. I usually hit one one of them when I'm in that area. |

Just ate at a gas station/greasy spoon at Beaver Creek on the Camden side of Lake Wateree last week. Yum!

Columbia:
Egg Roll Chen (almost next to Whole Foods on Devine/Ft. Jackson Blvd.) Inexpensive Asian large portions interesting clientele mix. and as mentioned last night, Mack's Cash Grocery on Laurel across the street from the main fire station. Doc's BBQ on Shop Road. Always enjoyable but it sucks that they're not open on Saturdays anymore. |

I hadn't been there in years. Hit it couple weeks ago, and they still rock. Duh. ETA. Blue Flour Bakery in Irmo. https://blueflour.com/ Dubble duh. ETA2. https://thebritishbulldogpub.com/ for when you need something other than beer and liquor with your beer and liquor. Food's decent. The BBP does an OK job at being an "authentic" neighborhood Brit-fag soccer pub in one of the most expensive strip mall properties in the Columbia area. So many strip mall pub places are soulless, corporate-run, suburban Irish Cracker Barrels with knick-knacks on the wall and beer. I am looking at you Columbus OH and Raleigh NC. |

I think it was a victim of Covid. But in its place, they installed a fridge for desserts. No more worries about flies ever landing on my 'nanner puddin'.

Tiki Taco on Old Trolley Rd in Summerville. This is the indoor location in a strip mall near Allied Arms' new location.
The street tacos are on par with any Mexican joint serving the same but what puts them on another level are the house salsas they serve on the side. Complex and very spicy both red and green. |

Hwy 1 Cafe in Cassat is reporting that they have been experiencing chronic Internet/telephone issues that AT&T has not been able to pinpoint. Techs are supposedly being sent out there to fix this issue. In the meantime the restaurant has no phone service, cannot use their Internet connection to post to their website/social media pages and cannot process credit/debit card payments from customers.
Hopefully this will be resolved soon but if you go there anytime soon suggest that you have cash on hand becasue they may no be able to accept plastic. |
