The sad part is... Angus has the name and is incumbent. He also has the bankroll behind him.
His signs are appearing all over the downeast area but none for Eric. When King was Gov. we had a major ice storm devastate a good part of Hancock and Washington counties. I lived within eyesight of a biofuel powerplant (wood chips) in Jonesboro and they were up to capacity but not on line due to an argument with Bangor Hydro over a few cents per kilowatthour. King didn't have the balls to say "put it online and settle the difference in court", so we sat in the darkness for 2+ weeks. I have no use for AK and will never support the sob. Screw all these wishy-washy cucks... I'm voting straight (R) |

Bond measures...
Raise X-million = State tax increase. Matching grant = Federal tax increase. Therefore bond issues = Tax me more! People just don't get it.. |

Well gang, it's down to the wire...
Tomorrow tells all.. IF.. the dems take the house, Pelosi is the speaker! 2 heartbeats away from the Presidency! Maxine Watters will control finances in a big way. Get the hell out there and vote!! Make calls, send texts, offer rides.. Do whatever you can to keep the ship on an even keel! And most of all pray a little...it can't hurt. Thanks.. |

My towns polling place is ~1/2 mile from here.
Small town ~350 people plus some from the unorganized township next to us. I went by around 1PM. There are 4 booths. All full. 6 folks in front of me. I asked the lady (I know her) if there had been a good turn out & she said it's been steady all day. Cast my ballots and when I put them in the box it was pretty well stuffed. There were 6-7 people in line waiting to vote as I left. Now we wait... |

Well folks, The disease has spread northward and taken over the state of Maine. It may be terminal.
I would consider myself included in the group of people everyone says we need to attract and keep in this state..Relatively young..ish...skilled and looking to start a family. But honestly with the results of yesterday and the way the state is going I seriously do not consider staying here to be a smart decision either politically or economically and this is becoming less and less of a place I would want to raise a family with each passing day.

I was hoping the .gov would stay R and that Brakey could knock King out. ...6 more years of that wishy-washy squash head... Maybe we can knock Collins out next time she's up.. Not happy but not surprised either. Retirement is 5-6 years away. Not sure this is where I will retire although I have a wife to convince. Options are dwindling every year though, look at Montana, they re elected that shitbag tester. Good God, my whole country is headed off the cliff

Hey guys, I left Maine for greener pastures after 40 years of The Pine Tree. Alaska has been awesome, but it is not the garden of Eden. I love it here, but healthcare is difficult. We have to travel to Seattle for decent cancer care and my wife is gone for a month at a time on occasion. Think about moving, I get it. Also think about what is offered in your area for services. We have great insurance, but we are 1000 miles away from a hospital that knows more than dogs and MERSA.
Our State Gov is changing for the better and I hope Maine will be ok. I have no wisdom to share other than your friends make your home worth while. Miss you guys a bit and I wish I could share things here with you all. The boy is all grown up and living in Oregon and happy. Has decent work, I have most of his guns for safekeeping. |
