So what is the status of magazines in CA currently?

If you bought standard capacity magazines during freedom week, you’re gtg. If you didn’t, you’re stuck with the 10 round limit.

Still true?   There are some on the WA forum stating that possession is banned in CA now.

Basically there have been no changes since "freedom week."  New importation, sale, transfer, etc., of magazines (feeding devices) capable of holding over 10 rounds is illegal.  Magazines legally possessed remain legal to possess.  It's still in litigation.
