I spoke with Chris at Red Hill Range near Lavonia this weekend -- the annual fall machinegun shoot "Full Auto Frenzy" will be Saturday, November 12. There are typically 5-10 attendees with impressive collections who will allow others to shoot their MGs/SMGs for an additional fee.

Attendees may bring & shoot any legal firearm.

Gate opens at 0800.  Range will go hot at around 0930.  $20 entry fee per person.

There will be an hour at lunchtime for shooting suppressed guns only.

The range no longer allows binary or other exploding targets.  Also, please do not bring armor piercing rounds -- turns out they also pierce the steel targets.

There is a large field for parking but if you have a lot to load/unload you'll want to arrive early to get a space closer to the line.  Please note that there will be no parking at the firing line.

A food truck/trailer will on site (Top Dawg BBQ).

Closes between 1500-1530.

LOCATION: 2238 Toms Creek Road, Martin, GA 30577

LODGING: if you're traveling a long way & plan to stay overnight, the closest hotels are in Lavonia.

When I last checked the forecast Monday night, it looked like rain was possible for Friday but nothing expected the day of the shoot. See you all there.

Will there be vehicles to shoot up or what is the target situation?

Can we bring our own?

No binary, there will be cars and steel targets provided. No AP.

And I won’t be there due to all ways falling on my daughters B day.

With the rain.....
How about Piney Mountain 22 lr tracers? They usually are out way before 100 yds.
How about military tracers for 5.56?

Probably fine but its his range and he states no tracers, his house his rules.

The owner called me to day and said everything is still on for tomorrow. He will also have his newly acquired FA lower with 9/22 uppers for rent.

He is also a 07/SOT now and can handle all of your NFA transfer needs. $50 for standard NFA items.

I'm sorry, I don't remember your screen name on here but you know who you are.  Again, much thanks! You let me scratch something off my bucket list (shooting a Thompson M1 ).  It's something I've wanted to do since I was a youngster watching war movies with my dad.  It was even better than I expected.  Absolutely awesome and I gained a whole new respect for the soldiers who carried and effectively used, those beasts in the war.

great video. probably would’ve had better luck attending this than sitting in the deer stand.

Looked kinda thin in attendance but that usually equates to a better shoot. Seen a few in the video that I know.

Definitely a smaller crowd than usual, but overcast & threatening to rain so not too surprising.  But I got to shoot Chris's MP5 so could've been worse.
