Going to be there today. I dont get over to that part of the state often, anyone have a recommendation for a decent lunch in that area? I dont care about ambiance, just food quality.

Po’s rice and spice in east Hampton is great for Chinese/Thai, Tang Asian bistro is good for sushi, loco Perro is good for Mexican etc

Not familiar with the in-town Portland places however

Late to the game but maybe for your next go...


Po's is legit.  Not a huge fan of Loco Perro but not too many options around for Mexican in that neck of the woods.  More choices across the river in Middletown.

In Portland:  Melilli makes a decent pie but nothing like New Haven Pizza joints or Micheal Angelo's in Rocky Hill.  Sarah's on Main gets an honorable mention.
