I know you guys get this a lot but I’m leaving VA for WV and am looking at some places about an hour away from Parkersburg. I want privacy and a pro 2A area. Any one familiar with this area?

I used to hunt between Ripley and Spencer off 33. Wasn't a bad area, but that was about 15 years ago. That's about as close as I've been to Leroy.

The place I used to hunt was back on Joe's Run road, which is just South of Leroy. It's not far from Ripley and Ravenswood.

That's my AO. I have property there since 2010 as my retirement project. LeRoy is a good place to get out in the sticks but still have good access to I-77 and Ripley for services.

First post, I had to finally join ARFCOM to answer this thread.

Back to the OP: a neat thing about LeRoy is West Virginia DNR recently added a Wildlife Management Area there, Sandy Creek WMA at 2265 acres.
