Large Police Presence At Apparent Crash Scene In Elk River

My AO. I can hear the news chopper still circling the area. W Hwy 10 is still closed off through Elk River.

(Soon to be Ex-)Wife and youngest were playing at Lion's Park not more than a couple hundred yards from the intersection of Proctor and 10.

Early news are suspect was involved in a shooting in South Minneapolis. Police chase ensued. Crashed up here in Elk River. Local PD tried to get him to give up peacefully. May have suicided, but definitely dead.

Anyone else with more updates?

yeah I was trying to drive from Elk River to Big Lake right after it happened, they were still closing the hwy down. It was a complete cluster....

Funny how things happen and disrupt things.
Criminals should be more mindful.
