The 7th annual GA HTF MOA Challenge Shoot will be held on Saturday, November 20th,2021 near Crawfordville GA. Same place as usual. Directions (well... gps coords) sent out via arf email system about a week ahead of time.
The MOA challenge is shooting five - 5 shot groups on a single target. Measured and mathed to see if you and your gear can shoot sub MOA. The shooting line is 100 yards. Plan on shooting prone. We will provide targets, staples, a place to park, outhouses, and the dirt to lay on. Creature comforts are entirely up to you. My computer isn't letting me link to old threads, but since this is the 7th annual, you can try the archives to see what the first 6 were all about.  I'll try to get a link to the MOA Challenge thread as well - that's where you go and post your results. Donations can be cash on site, PP, Venmo. Prizes... currently you get bragging rights. I haven't reached out to our usual 5 star sponsor, but I will after this thread takes off. Get your gear ready we look forward to seeing you soon. |

We are going to change things up a bit this year.
Range will be hot for 30-40 mins (to be determined). You can take each rifle to the line 1 time. We will still put up 2 targets per lane, per round. So... If you want to knock out 2 groups... go for it. If you screw up on round #7... you can start over on target #2. If everyone is done shooting early, we will end the round early. RO will make the call. For at least 30 mins, you are not allowed to rub the thigh of the precision shooter you are trying to beat. After 30 minutes is still to be determined. lol If you are real confident, you can bring 2 guns to the line and shoot 1 target with each one, but then you are committed to those targets. We will have at least 18 lanes to shoot from, so you should be able to participate in every other round if everyone shoots a lot. (probably more as I know some people will only make one trip and some may actually share a lane and get 2 shooters taken care of in one round) To clarify... you can bring multiple guns, but each gun will only go to the line one time. If you loan your gun out, that doesn't count against you. And just like that, half of you have to start thinking of new excuses! lol |

In order to keep a safe line, weapons can be stored on the line so if you are going to switch out shooters, their gun is already there, and yours doesn’t leave while others are shooting.
Actions open while cold and nobody on the line while targets are being tended. |

IF I can find the bullets I need in time and IF I can get a load worked up and IF we are free that day we will have 6.5 Grendel AR's but that's a lot of if's. If not, maybe next year.

I’ve got some ammo, but it does decent with ADI 69gr ammo. Most ppl come for the comradery, but I think I read above that there will be thigh rubs too! Not sure if that costs extra, but definitely worth investigating further. |
