Here is the best LINK for election results.
If you'll take a few minutes to navigate around, you can see results for the races for each office, by each county, amendments, etc. It's been my experience this is the quickest reporting available. Much quicker than local media. If someone else has a link to a better source - please share it. You're welcome |

Clayton is the only Metro county reporting. Just have to hope that the rural was out in force like 2016

Way too soon, with only 1% reporting.
Most of Atlanta is all Stacy Abrams. When I went to vote, there was a black woman in a wheelchair next to me that couldn't reach the touch screen, so had to have a poll worker help. I tried my best not to listen or pay attention to them, but ended up hearing part of the conversation since I could tell the woman was intently trying to see me voting, so I moved over to block her view. They had all of the machines butted up against each other so it was crowded. Anyway, the poll worker asked who she wanted to vote for, and the womans' reply was "Stacy Adams". She didn't even know the correct name of the person she was voting for. That is what we are up against. |

Rural counties reporting first. Fewer votes and precincts to tally.
Kemp is doing well but that was expected. The weight of the urban counties will tone those early percentages down quite a bit. In my home county (Lee), Repubs got from 72-74%; voted yes on every amendment; and are done. eta. Of significant note so far is that the 3rd party candidates don't seem to be siphoning off many votes. |
Turnout was absolutely insane today. Hopefully we have enough Kemp votes to send Abrams packing

The system is bogged down while its flooded with new data reporting in.
It will settle down. You can also bookmark the link to check it in the morning for final results. Or anytime thereafter. Heck I've still got the link for the May 2016 election results. It a great tool for analyzing turnout, percentages, etc for each county. Handy info for a multi-county seat. eta. The large urban counties have yet to report. It's still a nail-biter. |
Fulton County polls are still open until 2200 according to news station.
Fulton partially reporting, 55/44 Kemp now
ETA: District 7 showing blue, I need to fucking move out of this hellhole |
WTH is up with worth county? The link is showing not participating?

Wow, rob Woodall is losing. He is the Republican incumbent in a very red district.
Or maybe I should say used to be red district |

Looks like we will avoid a runoff for governor. Abrams still hasn't conceded though, they are still looking for votes in Dekalb county.
Hate the thought of Pelosi as speaker but things could be worse. Hopefully after the FISA reports are released the impeachment movement will fall flat. |

Those 36,783 protest votes for the L candidate would have been nice to have.
I've said it in other threads but its disgusting to think that people voted for socialism/communism. It's also disheartening to know that the black community gave our President a big fuck you just so they could vote for a woman of color. Our President worked hard to help get our economy where it is and help put people to work but instead of recognizing that they cast their racist vote anyway. |

65% Voter turnout in Jasper County with 75% of the vote across the board for Republican candidates. Country folk doing work at the polls.

Updated link is looking better.
That link hasn't updated for hours and it shows almost 99% compared to 98% a few hours ago. Come on Georgia! Edit: I take this to account for absentee ballots being counted. |

Henry County stayed blue again like it did during the 2016 election.

As of 11:40am, the report is:
Kemp: 50.39% with 1,968,407 votes Abrams: 48.66% with 1,900,935 votes Don't forget Metz Metz: 0.95% with 36,918 votes Kemp needs 50% to avoid a runoff. So having more votes than Abrams isn't enough. He has to have at least one more vote than Abrams and Metz combined which is 1,937,853 votes. Right now Kemp is ahead of both by 30,554 votes. I do not know how many uncounted votes remain. 1. You don't know how many votes are left to count. 2. You should not assume all uncounted votes will be for Abrams. 3. Its the uncounted votes for Abrams & Metz vs Kemp that matter. 4. Kemp must lose a 30,554 vote lead rather than 67,472 vote lead over Abrams. So he about half as secure as you might otherwise think if you think he only needs to beat Abrams. 5. Officially it is too early to call because the uncounted votes outweigh the difference. 6. As a practical matter, that's a lot of ground to make up with what little is left. So I'd rather be in his shoes than hers right now. |

Nope. The fat lady hasn't sung, errrrr, I mean conceded, yet. .

Quoted: From my understanding he still needs to maintain 50% of the votes to prevent a runoff? I'm not a Georgian but am here for a while View Quote If no candidate wins then the top two candidates have a runoff. It's not simply getting more votes than Abrams. |
He's ahead of Abrams by 54,977 He's 17,750 votes over the 50% mark. As I understand it she CAN NOT request a recount unless there is less than 1% between her and him. With the LIB. guy having close to 1% of the votes there will be NO WAY there will be less than that 1%.
Just hope he has at least that 1 vote over 50% in 2 more days

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/judge-rules-some-absentee-ballots-must-be-counted-in-georgia-gubernatorial-election
Jones ruled that each county's certified vote tally must include absentee ballots on which the voter's date of birth is missing or incorrect, an order that stems from a request in a lawsuit filed by the Abrams campaign over the weekend. However, Jones declined Democratic requests to extend the period during which evidence could be submitted to prove the eligibility of voters who cast provisional ballots. He also declined to order that provisional ballots cast by voters who went to a precinct in the wrong county be counted. U.S. District Judge Leigh May ordered Gwinnett County election officials Tuesday not to reject absentee ballots just because the voter's birth year is missing or wrong. She also ordered the county to delay certification of its election results until those ballots have been counted. Edit: In other words Brian Kemp still has the votes to be our Governor. She is a sore loser and because so much money was spent on her election and she lost is why this is dragging on for this long. |

Stay vigilant, there will be a runoff election on December 4 for SOS and maybe House District 7. SOS needs to stay Republican or the shenanigans will get worse going forward.

Even the Abrams fans at the AJC are realizing the fat lady (yup, I said that) is starting to sing...
The Democrat’s campaign is considering a long-shot legal challenge under a law that allows losing candidates to contest the election in the case of misconduct, fraud or “irregularities.” She would face a tremendous legal burden to prove her case.
Barring successful legal action, the secretary of state could certify the election as soon as 5 p.m. Friday and cement Kemp’s victory in the tightest race for Georgia governor since 1966. The latest tally showed Abrams is roughly 55,000 votes behind Kemp — and in need of more than 17,000 votes to force a Dec. 4 runoff. Georgia law requires a runoff if no candidate gets a majority of the vote, which is only a possibility because a third-party contender netted about 1 percent. View Quote |

From what I am seeing the Democratic party is not only pushing for a new vote but are trying to get the feds to step in and change what ballots you have to accept. Also I think they may want to get the election thrown out over disenfranchised voters that did not get a vote. They seem to be advertising for people to call in that claim to have had problems voting for one reason or the other.
To me there appears to be a lot of outside the State resources trying to change what votes count and what it takes to qualify a ballot in Georgia. You change the rules to the game that's already played and try to get someone to let you play it over with the rules in your favor. Any success if not a benefit now will be next election.
People "Republicans" need to get as active in politics and getting their party out to vote as their opposition is. |
It's officially over, Kemp is Governor and Abrams will go down believing she is a leader of civil rights and hates whitey.
Yep she said she wouldn't concede, she is just acknowledging he is the governor...
So, now that she is just a citizen - she mentioned that in her non-concession concession speech - will the IRS go after her or is she still in the protected class?
What a vile, contemptuous, hate filled woman. Did not even have the decency to congratulate Kemp, just blamed the "rigged system" for her loss. |
