Hello neighbors, I’m taking a trip soon to Vancouver and wondered if someone can direct me to the best source for knife laws in Canada. I’m going to be doing some hiking and would like to, at the very least, have a knife for protection from animals and bad people. Thanks in advance!

Fixed blade good to go. You might have some trouble bringing some folding blades over the border.
No auto blades, push daggers, butterfly knives. Also, if you carry a knife it's for utility, not self defence.

So you may get a pass or lose your knife if they search your vehicle. If you get asked..you are going camping, hiking in the woods. you can buy a decent "don't care if I lose it" folder at Bass Pro,Canadian Tire,etc as well |
