This one may not get a lot of attention due to the date. also take a look here: https://www.swfwmd.state.fl.us/recreation/camping The campsites are more remote, most still have water/power hook ups, no fees, tons of land located all over the state. Downside is they do not have the shower/bathroom facilities that the State Parks offer. So there is a trade off. I love our State Parks and their facilities. |

The backcountry campsites are a good walk in with nothing but a water spigot that dispenses nasty red water. Still a good filter will clean it up. Of course the campgrounds are nice, water, electricity, nearby flush toilets, etc. |

I made the December hike and missed out on January's. I'll keep an eye out for future events.
