Simple question. Can I legally carry a few rounds of live ammunition in my pocket in the UK and Scotland or is that forbidden?

Not unless you have your section 1 licence on you and have good reason.

Why the question ?

Shotgun cartridges yes otherwise no.

My question to you is, how do you imagine you are going to be in possession of live ammunition in the UK.  You can't bring it into the country legally and you can't buy it here without the proper paperwork.

Given the above 2 answers I imagine I wont! Which is why I asked, to make sure I dont end up afoul of the Queens whims.
