Is Jackson Hole a good place to base out of when visiting Yellow Stone Nat'l Park?

We are thinking about dragging the travel trailer up there to visit Yellow Stone and the Tetons this summer.

Would love to hear some good RV Park recommendations too?

Thanks

Also look at Cody.  45 miles from the park.

We stay in alpine when we do the parks. Not with an rv though.

You might consider the Island Park area of Idaho, outside West Yellowstone.  Probably be cheaper than Jackson Hole and you're not that far from the west entrance.

Any good gun shops I need to check out?

No good gun shops in Jackson.

Jackson is a prime location since the Tetons are next to it, two birds with one stone and all.

There will be some crazy delays on the lower loop of Yellowstone this year. Be prepared.
