There is a serious threat to Bloody Run, a Trout stream in Clayton County that has been okayed by the DNR that will destroy the Trout fishery. There have been spillovers already, before the large sewer pit was completed. The owners, Investors and potential Operators have Lied, altered facts, data and misled everyone,(most)  all along.

Initially they were building a confinement facility, using the manure to produce Natural Gas.  They never built a facility any way close to that, instead they built a facility that ignores all reality, will pollute the surrounding area, deplete the water supply of the nearest Towns and only employ a small number of people. Most likely the employees will be from non-English speaking countries and live in sub standard housing on site.
If you have been up here, just to visit, fish, camp or drive through, you know it's a beautiful area. The Iowa DNR, is allowing these people, through family connections to the Senate, to Destroy it.

Please, join in and Oppose this.

Save Bloody Run, and Iowa waters

Another example of DNR fucking things up. Up my way, a farmer had a hog building burn down, hogs and all. Owner dug up one of his fields near my inlaws' place and buried all the hogs in it. FIL and a few others called DNR and were all told the same thing. "It's his land, he's legal".

Hundreds, if not thousands of pigs buried near a water source, and it's legal.

The laws, regulations, enforcement, intent, actions and antics of Iowa's DNR makes Illinois' DNR look like a bunch of choir boys.

they already have 999 cattle in a building on site. There have been several manure spills from the facility before the expansion and it has messed up the creek. It is located on the headwaters of bloody run and one spill from the larger operation will kill the creek all the way to the River. It's not over exaggerated by the opposition, they are also going to pull twice as much water from the wells they drilled as the City of Monona uses in a year. Who do you think will run out of water first?  it also appeared that when the finishing dirt work was done, the well they had was covered up. Drilling company had to come back, relocate the original and then drilled a second one. Yesterday I saw them re-lining the original well.  Wonder why they had to do that? well is a year old.
