To anyone considering visiting Montana and bringing watercraft (motorized/non-motorized) in from out-of-state they all must be inspected for aquatic invasive species once you enter the state. There are state-managed check/inspection/decontamination (free of charge) stations on highways at state lines.

MT is trying to keep it's waters free of extremely hazardous invasive species. Please don't bypass these check stations.

We just traveled through and these check stations are everywhere. Impossible to miss.

Go past one and you will be explaining why to LEO shortly.

It's Billions of dollars in potential damages to the state and they are not joking.
