We are moving into our new home in Searsmont Maine on Friday and, frankly, can't wait. I've done some of my homework and found there are only two providers currently available to us: Fairpoint Communications (now "Consolidated"), and Redzone Wireless.

Does anyone out there have experience with either one of these providers? We're not interested in TV channel lineup or any "extras", just internet access that relatively reliable. We would very much appreciate your review and pros and cons so we can make up our minds before the weekend.

My understanding has always been that RedZone is fast. Fairpoint is DSL and it's garbage and arguably so is the company. RedZone or Spectrum are the only providers up here that are worth anything unless you live in a town with a small start up.
