Has anyone visited the Indiana Military Museum in Vincennes?

My father wants to go there so I will probably take him, but I would like to see what the Indiana HTF thinks about it.

We went to the LST museum in Evansville last summer and it was great.  My dad served on an LST during the Cuban Missile Crisis before serving the rest of his career in the Army.

I'm just wondering how it compares to the National Infantry Museum in Fort Benning, National Museum of the Marine Corps, etc.

I would be particularly interested in knowing whether or not there was an exhibit on the Indiana National Guard Rangers/LRRPs that served in Vietnam.

Thanks everybody.

I've been there a few years back and thought it was worth the price of admission.
I don't believe it to be near as big as the other museums you mentioned, but I've not seen them.
As far as the Indiana Rangers go, I don't remember anything specific.
I do think there is an exabit about them in the museum beneath the Indiana War Memorial in Indianapolis.

What time of year are you coming through?

It would probably be late June.

I visited the museum for the first time last year. I was impressed with the exhibits they had. I don't recall specifically if they had an exhibit about the Indiana National Guard during the Vietnam War, but I would be surprised if they didn't.  The museum had an exhibit for pretty much every war or engagement that Indiana has been apart of with items specific for Indiana and it's involvement.  Definitely worth a visit.

We went two years ago & I really enjoyed it.  They have a ton of stuff crammed inside the building & it's very well done.  When we went the large building with all of the vehicles was still under construction so I'm definitely going back.

I enjoyed it. Took my boys there and they all had a good time. Well worth admission price.
If you travel up US41 through Evansville stop by the Evansville wartime museum it’s by the airport.  It’s a separate museum from the LST museum.
