I'm buying an RV in Missouri that does not have a current/valid plate.Can I tow it across Illinois with only a bill of sale?? without having it impounded...
Any help appreciated.

Yes you should not have any issues, if you do get pulled over the Bill of sale all you need.

Bill of sale and and title if buying direct with no loan. He'll you can even drive it. At least you could at one.time. Just notify insurance company to be safe. Most are.covered automatically to get them from the purchase point.

Towing I would double check it.covered.

Most of the DMVs are shut down due to covid  so police aren’t really dealing with plate issues right now.

Just call and get insurance first
