As the title says, if you're concerned about the blatant abuse of emergency declarations by the Washington state governor, you may want to sign in and comment or testify on house bill 1029. Under current law the governor can issue emergency declarations indefinitely without legislative approval, as long as he doesn't suspend or waive statutes.
Testimony sign in for the House Committee on State Government & Tribal Relations at 1:30 PM On Monday FEB 8th (Subject to change). If you'd like to see some reforms to the governors emergency powers, the the legislators know you're on the "pro" side of the bill. |
