Hello to my northern brethren.

Situation: My wife and I live in Las Vegas. Her mother lives up there in IF. She’s been going to Wound Care in EIRMC for four years to treat an open wound on her big toe. They’ve done absolutely nothing to try to find and/or cure whatever it is that’s causing the problem. The extent of their contribution to her health in four years has been to tell her to stay off her feet.

Can anyone please recommend a foot or wound doctor that may be able to help?

My wife is in a similar situation.  IMHO stay away from eirmc, too many staff infections, seriously. I would suggest having her go to either Salt Lake, Seattle, OR anywhere else, perhaps UCLA. There IS another hospital, Mountain View.  My wife will be going to a "specialist" there next week. Also, not in Boise either. My wife's blood work came back as MERSA.  She has other complications as well. Good luck finding a good "physician" in this town although there are hundreds of doctors in practice here they are fed by DOE insurance.

Based on someone else’s suggestion I checked them out. They do have what looks like a really good wound care unit. Going to give them a try and will report back. Hope things work out well for your wife.
