No snow yet but supposedly it’s gonna hit us tonight. Everything is iced over though. I hear the highway has been sanded but we can’t get out of the neighborhood to get to it.

We are absolutely covered up here in the big Abi. Holy crap! Its instantly freezing to my windshield!

No snow, but the driveway could be used for a skating rink. just taking the garbage out was a slip and slide adventure.
Since the gate is roughly 25' more in elevation from the garage I don't think we are going anywhere. |

South Collin County. Finished up a 2.5 mile walk in the neighborhood, except for the wind it's not too bad at 18F. Wind sucks on the face. Everything else good with 2 layers except I still haven't figured out the gloves.
Started snowing harder about 3. |

Here outside of Burnet we got sleet/ice the other day that hasn't gone away, now it's snowing. View from my front deck.

Here is one hint for them. Nobody can drive on ice covered roads no matter where they come from. Snow maybe but ice no. |

I can drive on it, but it requires 120% of my concentration to do. Get slight distracted for a minute and shit goes sideways real fast. |

Visibility was super low on the way home today, maybe 200y at best. Had to go 30ish on a major freeway home, and assholes were flying past me on the highway.

I drove from leander to lake limestone this (Sunday) afternoon. Main roads weren't too bad but it was definitely slick on less traveled FM and county roads. Just stuck it in 4wd, disabled the ABS, and eased along.
Power has apparently been out here since Thurs. And roads def getting worse. May have to ease somewhere else so i can run all the little devices. |

I’m on my 2nd trip into town to feed goats and it’s crazy how many people passed me driving in. I’m kicking in/out in 2wd at 25-30mph. In town now about to make the trip back out. |

Did not take me long to figure out, like the first time it happened, that the only thing 4wd and big tires helps with in ice is to help you get back on the icy road you just slid off of. |

I'm in Cypress, NW Houston, maybe 1 to 1.5" here. Rained all day, so I'm assuming icy out too.
Spent 8 years of my young adult life in Colorado, learned to drive there, but I'm gonna stay in today, because most of the people out there didn't get the same education. |

Deep East Tx here. 2-3" OF SNOW AND REALLY COLD. 15 degrees and holding. Fireplace is humming right along. Boxer lying in front of it. Mom is still asleep and I'm just hanging out. It's nice being retired. I spent some time in the last couple of days making sure our place was bullet proof so I could just enjoy the show. No reason to leave. We're good for the week without getting out. Hoping my meth head neighbor blows himself up cooking in this weather. He's almost a mile away and I don't want to miss anything. Attached File

Currently 16*, very light snow. Trip was uneventful for me but several big Dodges forgot that braking is a different game; lots of sliding.

Just got off the phone with my dad and he is without power and so is my aunt. He's doing ok for now but said he can't go too much longer without power. How are the roads between Cibolo and Smithville? I may have to head on out there shortly if he doesn't regain power.
