HI all.  I've got a heavy barrel on my DPMS 762 x 51 rifle and would like it milled to accept a muzzle comp.  Can someone out there contact me or provide info about a gunsmith who might be able to do that for me ?

Kinda quiet here at Hometown Maine.  We better keep our ear to the ground as Washington is looking to attack the 2A once again!

Assume you mean threading a barrel to accept a flash hider/muzzle brake/suppressor adapter.

These companies are not in Maine, but have a good reputation and are reasonably priced.

Unfortunately, some the best and well known gunsmith machining companies are in other states.

Good Luck.

Thanks.  I'm always going to use a local 'smith if I can and I'm not in a huge rush but I do make lists of suppliers both in and out of state.  When it comes to my guns, I prefer to keep them in state so I'm a bit more comfortable about where they are at all times. And, yes, I need that heavy barrel to be milled down and then threaded to 5/8 x 24 thread I believe.
