An old friend/coworker will be staying at the Omni for several days of meetings and wants to go somewhere near the hotel for a nice dinner. He's a dedicated oenophile, so a good wine selection is important, but as far as what to eat goes, he told me he's open to seafood as well as steaks.

I'm really looking forward to this meal because for the 20+ years we've known each other, he's been a vegan! I guess there's hope for anyone to change.

There are a hundred killer restaurants in Frisco.  Just south of the Omni in Legacy Center is a Del Frisco's which is one of the older, high-end Dallas steakhouses; but it's a lot more modern than the original both in cuisine and decor.  Next intersection north of the Omni, pretty much any restaurant on the east side is good; but nothing specifically a steakhouse.
