Just bought a facility outside Kingman, and will be moving myself and my business down over the next couple months. Does this mean I need to apply for a screenname change to AZgeologist?

I've started linking up with some of the Kingman arfcommers, and know some in Phoenix through Cola Warrior as well. Once I get set up I'll have a moving in party and range day.

Is there a loyalty oath or anything I need to sign?

I haven't changed states since 2002, and that was more of an evacuation than well thought out migration.

Trick question. Taxation is theft.

Funny you should mention that, I have nightvision now, and really want to try doing geology at night.

Yeah, no.

It's all fun and games till your sliding down a steep hill to certain trouble, and your only thought is...

Was that an aggregate or metamorphic?

Welcome!  We all get discounts for being in the same awesome state right?  :)

Need some real steel targets one of these days, hopefully you have a demo not too far from Phoenix at some point so i can figure out what I need.

Glad to see businesses and especially 2nd A businesses coming to the state.

And as a friendly tip, not sure what the vegetation was like where you were, but whatever you do, don;t fall into this crap...

I don't really follow the normal business model for discounts. I eat sales tax for locals, because taxation is theft. These days, sales tax is effectively a penalty for being in the same state and not buying online, which is dumb but rapidly changing with the new SCOTUS decision. Local pickup also saves a shitload of shipping on reactive and oversize targets. My storefront will also have weird overstocks, occasional blems and partial fuckups, and the ability to risk getting shot repeatedly for shoplifting. So many discount options.

In general, I prefer to let my designs and prices stand on their own. I actually don't have a MIL/LEO discount program for the same reason. 75% (roughly) of my customer base is current or former MIL/LEO, and unless you walk in wearing your uniform, I don't have any way to confirm you were actually a Level IV Seal Wizard Ranger or not. I could jack up my prices and offer a discount to the majority of my customer base so they feel special, but that sounds like a lot of effort, and math. So, I try to set my prices at the point where it's worth me putting forth the effort to be in the business, and worth it to you to buy it from me.

As far as demos near you, I'll likely arrange for something in Spring, but you can always go out to Rio Salado in Mesa and ask them how they like the systems they've bought from me. They're using some in the PCC match this weekend.

And I love teddybear cactus, so snuggly.

The discount comment was a joke, as I am sure your prices are already reasonable, based on what I've read about you so far.  (Plus shipping targets with a sticker on the outside that says "adult toys inside" is just damn funny.)

definitely let us know if you do something near Phx for a demo, and personally I might be up for a drive to Kingman to pickup targets when that time comes along. :)

The advise about not falling into Cholla cactus was legit though. :)

Congrats on the new facility and glad to hear your in AZ now!

Pretty sure were in the same squad for the PCC match this weekend.

You make great targets and looking forward to adding more to my collection.

Very impressive design on the ClayStar paddles.  Quite ingenious!

Thanks for all your support you do for this and other matches!

Thank you, thank you. Looking forward to meeting y'all. Should be a fun match, and while I've loved northern Nevada, I'm looking forward to new adventures in Norther Arizona.

Oh shit, ANOTHER arfcommer? Prepared to be press ganged into Cola Warrior. Looks like Squad 20 is all Cola Warriors, or about to be abducted arfcommers who are going to become Cola Warriors in Spring.

I’ll be following you down there as soon as I can afford to retire. Picked up a place in Parker where someday I’ll retire and mock the Californians across the river.

Better move fast. I figure I've got 10 years in AZ before I unass for another state, trying to stay ahead of the cancer.

Welcome to a free'er state!

Why Kingman?
And it sounds like you make targets? I also make targets with a box cutter and old boxes.

Losing a bit of freedom with this move, but it's a hedge against future losses.
You guys don't have legal hookers or gambling (Indian casinos don't count), and do have state income tax. The Constitutional carry thing is nice.
My money is on NV losing a bunch of freedom in the next few years.

But frankly, I'm here for the cheap land and central location between major metropolitan areas, while still being small town. And for Geology reasons, I need easy access to Las Vegas.

Yes, I build targets for fun and profit. Moving my operation from home to this new 2400 sqft building.

I'm getting my product list together for SAR. Any special requests to bring with? I'm limited to whatever I bring with me (duh) for pickup / sale at the show. I usually bring reactive stuff and full size IPSCs, stuff that's expensive to ship.

If you want something specific, you should let me know ASAP, I'm pretty slammed with the packing and the move, and I've got a bull elk tag in NV the week before (and of, dammit) SAR.
