Welcome to Alabama!
Hobbs Island Shooting range in South Huntsville goes out to 385 yards. I help teach Appleseeds there once a month. Bullet and Barrel in Huntsville is in South Huntsville and is an indoor range. Larry's Pistol and Pawn in Huntsville is an indoor 25 yard range. Message me if you need any help brother. Army Vet here from 75-79. |

Huntsville area:
Swan WMA Creek, Tanner AL, west of Hwy 31/I-65, north of Hwy 72; pistols 25, 50 and rifles 100 yards, skeet trap ranges. Hurricane WMA Ridge/Wren WMA shooting range, ~13 miles south of Wren, AL in the Bankhead NF; 100 yards Skyline WMA Range, Skyline AL, 200 yards Blue and Grey R&P range, Guntersville Dam; 25 and 50 yard pistol, 100 and 200 and rifle ranges. Madison County Shooting Sports Range, New Market, AL, pistol and skeet trap Cavern Cove Shooting Range, Woodville/Cathedral Caverns, AL, cowboy shooting ETA: In addition: IPSC/USPSA, Steel Challenge matches as well. Strategic Edge, Chapel Hill, TN; Tier 1 shooting facility, owned and operated by a world class shooter; rifle ranges to 1300 yards, pistol/IPSC matches. +1 year wait to join, has several training classes you can take. If you can only go to or join one range in this thread, this is the range you want. Top Gun indoor range, 5 miles east of Ethridge TN, never been, don't know anything other than their site Eagle Eye Shooting Range, east of Summertown TN; been by once, looks pretty good, other than that don't know anything other than their site (which is a POS Facebook page). Looks like pistols and skeet trap only. I hope this helps. I prolly forgot a couple. For example, there's a range north of Dunlap TN but I don't recall the name right now. Further away, there is a +1000 yard range NE of Pelham TN. Arnold AFB,TN has a 1000 yard range and holds monthly High Power matches. NOTE: The three AL WMA ranges listed above require either an AL hunting license or WMA stamp. Check their respective WMA range page on the web and make sure you have what each requires! Get caught by the local Game Wardens and bad things can happen; especially at Swan Creek since the local Game Warden office is just down the street. ETA: |

Morning and welcome to Huntsville. I'm a member of the Blue and Gray range located in Guntersville. Its private, very well maintained, great facility, and a safe place to shoot.

This thread is relevant to me as I'll be moving in within the next 2 months or so.
Any recommendations for local tactical matches? I'm looking for IDPA, 3g/multigun, etc. |

Just checking in to see if anyone knows anything about Range 351 in Athens?
I’ve known of it for years, but haven’t heard anything about memberships/cost/requirements. I’d much rather drive the <10 minutes there than risk my life at Swan Creek 40 minutes away. |

Now that is funny.
Trying to get time to go shoot. It is trying. I am building a new 12.5 upper and debating on a ACOG or my Steiner S332. Decisions. |

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but has anyone shot any of the matches at Last Resort?
I'd like to shoot the tactical rifle course they offer on Saturdays. I am not a fan of Last Resort for several reasons, but they seem to be the only place around to shoot matches. |
