Punched my B tag on a fat yearling whitetail. Only took 2 hours to drag to the truck??.

Got my antelope tag filled. Just a small buck just filled the tag to get some butchering done.

Wanted to fill a muley B tag yesterday but couldn’t get a shot.  Spooky as heck. Going to knock over a whitetail doe this evening.

Space out the cutting up process so me and dad don’t need to butcher 6 deer in the last two weeks of season.

I've seen a decent amount of mulie does on the block management land I've been on, but no bucks. I don't really know where to go for elk so nothing for me there. This is only my second hunting season being a resident so I still need to figure out where to go. But I will get there.

As I was brushing my teeth yesterday morning I saw around a dozen elk run into the neighbor’s property. Had they been 200’ closer they would have been on my ground and easy pickings. I didn’t bother to see if the neighbor wanted them thinned out because my mind was on going skiing again.

4 geese on saturday.  Hunted pheasant sunday with no luck.  Spent last wednesday looking for a cow elk - didn't see any real sign.

Being a non-resident, all I could get were doe tags. Wouldn't you know it, the two deer I've had lined up in my scope were both bucks. There's one spot where I always see mulie does, but haven't gotten a shot yet. I'm hoping to get out a couple more times before the season ends.

I have only been out twice and only saw does on private property that I couldn't hunt.

We have not been out yet.  Between the storms and that I keep getting sick, no such luck yet. This weekend should get out though.  Otherwise I will have to take some time off of work to go :D

Heading your way Sunday for 10 days . I know you all hate out of towners but I love hunting mature Mulies in Montana.

Aren't you guys lucky. Mine had a sucked. Put up 3 cameras early in hopes of finding a good spot reasonably close for elk, only to have all 3 stolen.

Scouted a great spot for my Antelope tag but 40 mph winds killed making contact with a very nice ram opening weekend.

Got frozen out for deer elk rifle opener and tested positive for the Rona the following weekebd, finally getting better on Thursday and released from quarantine yesterday. But hey, I made it out to the range today so maybe I'll find something next weekend.

Went out this afternoon with @Country and popped a small whitetail doe at last light.

Nothing yet.

Crazy/crappy/windy weather conditions were I hunt.

My mule deer tag expired today, so left with General WT deer & bull elk for the next two weeks.

Oldest nephew has caught a buck and a doe this fall.
Unsure if my 3 nieces will be able to get out.

Swore off venison decades ago.

Despite many weeks of effort and a cow tag I’ve pretty much conceived myself that this year we’re eating beef.

Native way is to say caught or catch when you harvest a animal.

Friday I shot a mulie that is a typical 3 point on one side. The other side has what appears to be a 4" long spork. It also has a stub of a main beam with a brow time. Coming off the spork is a antler about the size of a finger that runs horizontal over the skull about 4" very bizzare. Now hopefully my wife can get her deer and we will have some meat in the freezer.
No luck on elk yet. Did find yesterday a cow that had been shot and never found. That was discouraging.

Used my general deer tag on a fat mature doe crossing a tiny piece of BLM between a cut alfalfa field and her private land willow patch sleeping area. Being a retired surveyor, I've figured out more than few little spots to hunt that most folks ignore Too crippled up to elk hunt any more So my season is done.

Ended up just getting does this year.

Didn’t see any bucks nicer than what I already have had so decided to let the 3 and 4 points grow another year.

Wasn’t able to get a chance to go for an elk in the breaks.   Only weekend I was fully free it was muddy and it ain’t worth fighting the gumbo lol

When I first moved to CO in 2007, I hunted with a friend that was a surveyor in the area for a few decades. He showed me all sorts of little BLM spots that nobody knew about. I suck so bad at hunting that the advantage never helped me....

Never got a chance to go this year, and to rub even more salt in my wound, didn't get this new (to me anyway) rifle sighted in, either.

Made it out 4 days looking for my cow.  Never so much as smelled an elk.  Freshest tracks I saw were 24 hours old.  Saw lots of whitetail, nothing I wanted to shoot.

We didn't make our annual pilgrimage to the CMR for mule deer.  My hunting partner had a ram tag that he was working on (he did end up tagging a nice ram).

Doing ok on waterfowl though.  I think between the three of us we are at 38 geese and 68 ducks so far for the season.  Sausage day planned for about a week from now.  I have a batch of jerky in the smoker now.

Hunted elk in colorado..  Saw some but no shot.  Cold and snowy entire time.

My farm here in va. has been swimming in deer. Literally as it is very wet.

Family and friends have 13 deer so far and 1 bear.  So it is a good year.  Still have 1 week left.
