Sadly Austin has managed to squeeze out his replacement, who is the first decent Chief that Austin has had in years. Oh sure, officially he is retiring... But I am sure there's more to it than that. That man worked his ass off and his only goal in life when he was younger was to work for APD. The only bad thing I could say about him was he was not the best driver when he was younger. He deserved better then what they have done to him. Now they will find a politician from out of state that won’t give a damn about the local community. The new chief will only care what the press says and screw over the citizens just to be woke. |

I've met him before at the Texas Independence Day and Veteran's Day Parades and a few other events. I have to agree that the city hasn't treated him as well as he deserves. I have really appreciated that he seems to have gone out of his way to avoid the kind of political grandstanding that Art was infamous for. He was definitely a stabilizing influence that kept things from getting worse during the craziness we've seen the past couple years. And yes, they will pick someone as bad or worse than Avacado. Someone who is politically aligned with their socialist agenda soft on crime agenda. |
